Hi everyone,

April was truly magical — but it demanded my full focus on d.o, so excuse the silence.

Now, I’m back and recharged. If you haven’t shown love to my latest At the Office feature, go check out the post. It’s always a pleasure shooting with my good friend María. I’m planning to photograph a lot more this year, so stay tuned.

Today is the last day of this amazing month. I like being literally on the letter with my timing (plus, I enjoy pretending I have a deadline — even when I don’t). Tomorrow is a national holiday here in Mexico, so it feels right to publish this now: the first episode of what might become a scary but necessary journey.

Before you dive into this more raw-style episode, just know:

When I say I was upgrading my avatar and not my self, I’m talking about the digital personas we curate online. I never lied about who I am — or was — but at times it felt aspirational even to me. I was performing, in a way, (it was fun its fun). Looking back at my IG grid, I’m proud of what’s there. Not gonna lie do feel a bit cringe about certain posts, but that’s life. Own it. In the end in truly doesn’t matter.

Hope you enjoy this first episode — and stick around for the ride. The plan is to keep recording chill, honest, raw conversations with people I want to document or shoot with. P.s talked about skateboarding, who knew.
